VETERAN
As someone who has served our country, you should not have to worry about where you will sleep at night. Unfortunately, far too many veterans find themselves homeless. In fact, according to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, on any given night, there are over 37,000 homeless vets across the United States. Those numbers should not exist amongst homeless veterans. They have fought for our country and served us well, but now they do not even have a roof over their head.
HELP OUR CAUSE
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
what we believe
Mission statements:
To provide lifesaving supportive housing care to those most in need.
To work with communities to end Veterans homelessness and poverty to create a better community on Earth.
Mission:
As someone who has served our country, you should not have to worry about where you will sleep at night. Unfortunately, far too many veterans find themselves homeless. In fact, according to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, on any given night, there are over 37,000 homeless vets across the United States. Those numbers should not exist amongst homeless veterans. They have fought for our country and served us well, but now they do not even have a roof over their head.
There are several reasons why vets can become homeless. First, many suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder better known as PTSD. PTSD can make it difficult to hold down a job or keep a stable home life. In addition, many vets struggle with addiction, which can lead to homelessness. Finally, vets can find themselves homeless simply because they cannot afford housing or are unable to find work.
How could this happen?
Simply because the housing sectors need to expand at an affordable rate and people do not want to deal with veterans' mental and physical disabilities. This is where I stepped in as a support housing with programs that offer a better living situation alongside a normal life.
So, what can be done to help homeless veterans?
One solution is supportive housing. This type of housing provides vets with a safe and stable place to live while also offering access to addiction treatment, mental health services, and job training. This can be a vital step in helping homeless veterans get back on their feet.
You can help homeless veterans by supporting organizations that provide supportive housing. For example, Always There For You Supportive Housing Program is a 501c3 based in Apple Valley, California. They provide housing and supportive services to homeless veterans in the area. Always There For You Supportive Housing offers a variety of In-House services which includes transportation, counseling, group counseling, job training workshop, job placement assistance and employment within the facilities to help others.
